I was very nervous about teaching English because it was my first day, but it ended up being fine. I have 2 classes of 9 - 12 year olds, but each class is at a different level. I first eat lunch with the other teachers. Then the class' are both 2 hours long, but they go pretty past and the kids are very fun. The first class has 14 kids and the second class has 9. When I ask them a question they stand up to answer and they say "teacher, 再见" when class is over, which means "bye". So they call me Ms. Emily or Teacher Emily. I even gave them homework and each week I need to plan out a general lesson plan.

This weekend we went to JiuXiang caves which is a few hours away from our school. It is a huge cave complex near a river that is just beautiful. We rode a boat on the river and then walked around the cave.

On Sunday we signed and payed for the first 3 months of our apartment. It is a big apartment with 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, a western style bathroom and a washer, which we are all excited about after having to wash clothes by hand so far. We moved a little of our stuff in then, but we are going to slowly move all of our stuff in this week before we go on vacation next week.
