Two nights ago we had a wonderful view of the sunset from our dorm window.

Last night Hilary and I made friends with some boys who have been in China for the past 5 years, and in Kunming for almost as long. Last year they had also made friends with the UVM students studying abroad in Kunming at the time. So they invited us to go out to a bar with them where they were preforming spoken word. Some other people were also playing music (including guitar, singing and bagpipes) because the stage was set up like an open mike night. It was definitely one of the better nights in Kunming so far. I am going to buy a bike (with a basket of course) from of the boys we met and they had even started an ultimate Frisbee team last year that I am considering joining (since the previous UVM students were no longer here to take part, they needed new recruits).
